About The Designer

Chanelle Cindy is headed up by Chanelle Cindy Botha, a small town girl consumed by big dreams made up of all things celestial.

Born and bred in Durban, South Africa, her journey to becoming a designer started way back in 2004.

Having her first bespoke gown made by local designer, Renette Short, was all the inspiration she needed to know exactly where her dreams were headed .

Fascinated by the fabrics and textures, the development of the fit, and just the whole process of transforming a piece of fabric into a beautiful gown, Chanelle rushed out and bought her first sewing machine. And so the journey began.

After completing her diploma in Fashion Design and textiles at the Durban University of Technology, she started Chanelle Cindy in 2010.

Chanelle Cindy focuses on one-of-a-kind pieces that exude a feel of ethereal beauty and ornate detailing. Our designs are characterised by their delicate detailing and textures, paired with whimsical, soft fabrics - creating gowns that are distinctively Chanelle Cindy.

Proudly South African our design studio, initially based in Durban, is now based in Cape Town.
